Fake Patty’s Day as told by Riley County Police Department

As Wildcats swapped out their purple for green in preparation for Fake Patty’s Day, the fakest holiday of the year and an all-day binge drinking celebration, the Riley County Police Department had a lot to pregame for.

And when the first party call came in before 8:30 a.m., they just know they were in for a long day. It was Fake Patty’s Day, after all.

A night of new years as told by Riley County Police Department

Everyone prepares for new years differently, from a sparkly new outfit to photo props to certain sparkly beverages. For the Riley County Police Department, it meant getting lots of rest, attending briefings and bracing themselves for what could be a very long night.

Not only did RCPD take calls and make arrests, they also live tweeted their night in blue for all their followers to see. 

It was evident this was not their first new years by some of their first tweets of the night at about 7 p.m.
